New In: Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick

When I first spied these Revlon Ultra HD lipsticks I had to pick them up, they come in 14 colours ranging from nudes, oranges, reds, plums and of course pinks.

With the beautiful Emma Stone as the face of the brand they looked really nice and with the whole HD concept I just had to see what they were like.
They are meant to be a "new wax-free gel technology for a smooth weightless feel".

I picked up two colours one in "810 Orchid" and "830 Rose".
Orchid is more of a purple toned pink and Rose is more of a nudey-beige.

Names: Despite the HD claim around the product I'm glad they have actual names and funnily enough all the names are based around flowers and plants which is really sweet.

Colours: Comes in a great range of colours, 14 or more. Also really pigmented.

Price: At £7.99 they are really affordable.

Texture: Very creamy and definately very smooth. Easy to work with.

Staying Power: The staying power is ok, not the greatest but that's to be expected with such a creamy product. You definately need to keep this in your bag for touch-ups as it will fade.

Packaging: The only thing I dislike about this product is the packaging. It makes it look so cheap and because the product is so creamy it easily hits the edge of the lids and marks the clear lid which makes it look manky.

Rate: 7/10, they're just ok products, nothing to boast about really and I still don't understand the whole HD part of it all.

Swatched on top: "Orchid" and below is "Rose"

Mid May Favourites.

Welcome to my new blog where I will talk all things beauty, skincare and many other things. I am an Irish based blogger so let’s get to it!

Make-up:

Benefit Rockateur blush has been a staple of mine from Christmas as it’s a gorgeous rose-goldy shade which gives a gorgeous sheen on the cheek. I’ve used it everyday now and it always perks up my face and when I use this I don’t even bother with highlight as it acts like a 2 in 1 anyway.
My go to lipstick this past month is Mac’s Brave, I purchased this back in December not knowing the hype that now surrounds it as ‘Kylie’s shade’ but this is a perfect mauve- dark pink shade and it pairs really well with Soar lipliner which I also have. If you’re looking for a neutral colour, definitely pick this one up. It lives up to the hype!

Skincare:

Having been out of Clinique’s Take The Day Off Balm (longest name ever) since the end of last year I purchased The Body Shop Camomile Butter to see if it was just as good for half the price, but when I used it I missed Clinique’s TTDO balm even though the Body Shop one was good I definitely prefer Clinique’s offering! I use this to take of the just of my make-up and do a second cleanse with another cleanser. There is no scent and is very gentle on the skin especially around the eye area.
My other skincare fave is the Body Shop’s Tea Tree Creamy Cleanser which is a staple in my routine. It’s only £5 so it’s really affordable and I love using the tea tree range on my face as it makes me feel refreshed in the mornings.

Other:

For non- beauty favourites I have my favourite tv series which is Game Of Thrones, I’ve re-watched the episodes many times and now that season 5 has started I’m already shocked as to where the hell Bran and Rickon are? Seriously any avid watchers, can you tell me the answer? Anyway this is an amazing series for people who like King/Queen, history kind of thing, very funny at times but gruesome as well, also how about Jon Snow? Eh? I’ll not even start, but seriously, watch it!
My new shoes from New Look where I saw on Hello October’s instagram, I knew I had to get them and luckily in my New Look there was one pair left in my size. I know some people will hate the pointy-ness, as I did at the start but these lace ups are just gorgeous and seem so much more expensive than they are. They’re really easy to wear and will jazz up any outfit and even though the label said it retailed for €30 I got them for €18, €18!!! For some reason everytime I get shoes in New Look they nearly always scan them and I get them cheaper, don’t ask me how but you can tell I was really excited just handing over a 20 euro note rather than the 30 they were meant to be!

Does that ever happen anyone else, or did I just lucky?

Barry M is nailin' it!

From L-R:  Coconut (white) Meditteranean (mix of red/gold), Rosehip (pastel pink).

• Summer is here everyone and now it's time to bring out the Summer colours and I've of course went to Superdrug and picked up 3 colours from Barry M's new collections. Oh, and I have a sneaky little purchase also to show you.

• Barry M is the Queen of the drugstore nail polishes and every time I'm in Superdrug I always have to look at their stand and they're nearly always on offer for 3 for 2 so I bought 3 new ones 2 from the famous Gelly Hi-Shine range and 1 from their new Aquarium range. They're definately the best formula, all you need is two coats and they're opaque, AMAZING!

  • As you can see my cheeky purchase is the Seche Vite fast drying top coat and guess where I spotted it? Only in TKMaxx for €6.99 when it retails for €14.00 at boots. Bargain! Really good sized bottle and does the job quick and fast so you don't have to worry about getting marks or the nail polish rubbing off when you're too impatient too wait for it too dry. I'm quite excited about this purchase!

• There my favourite nail polishes at the minute, have any of you tried any of the new Barry M colours? I know there's a couple more I'd like to pick up! X

So I went to Dublin..

Hello again sorry for no recent post but I had a busy month but anyway I was in Dublin at the One Direction concert (YES I'M OBSESSED) but of course I have a nice haul to show you all so let's get started. Of course my first exciting stop was MAC and I did my first ever 'Back2Mac' and got a new lipstick! *squeal* This is in Creme Cup which is a cremesheen and it's obviously a nude and it's just really lovely I think next on my list will be Up The Amp because it's my kind of purple. My other purchase is a pan form eyeshadow in 'Swiss chocolate' this is a matte brown, I think a more reddy-brown when blended into the crease, but I mainly wanted a matte brown for in the crease and this is the perfect one.

Then of course I went to boots but my purse survived and not much damage was done, I picked up 3 items from Soap&Glory makeup range that I've been wanting a long time.

First I got 'Archery' which Zoe mentioned in a recent video, so I picked it up as it reminds me of the Anastasia Bevererly Hills Brow Wiz *what a name!* but much cheaper, this is brilliant though and I've already get compliments on my brows today so that says something!

Then I got 'Supercat' eyeliner pen as I was wanting one to help me do winged eyeliner as I cannot get the hang of it! But hopefully this little guy will help.

Lastly I got the 'Kickass Concealer' which everyone has talking about but I had to get it, it has two concealers, a little mirror and a powder all in one! Brilliant 3 in 1, eh?

 • I was pretty surprised about the small amount of makeup I got, though I did get some clothes though I'd much rather show the  makeup,  but I'm happy but seriously guys the 1D concert was AMAZING!  If any of you are going to see them, have fun because it'll blow your little eyeballs, plus they're even hotter in person! X

Dupe // MUA for MAC?

• While I was swatching my pink, fuschia lipsticks yesterday I spotted this really similar one and I was too excited not to tell you guys so here it is!

•  MUA Shade 3 and MAC cremesheen in Lickable.

•Both swatched: the top one is MAC and bottom is MUA.

• I know they look a tad different swatched but when they're put on your lips they look very similar!

MUA Shade 3 here for only £1 here, you'd be crazy not to try it!

•MAC Cremesheen in Lickable here for a pricey £15.

The MUA is definately more creamy texture which I prefer as it's easy to apply. The MAC one is very distinctive blue undertones and it does have more 'staying put time' on your lips but really I prefer the MUA one as it's waaaay cheaper and easier to get so definately try MUA out as they're so cheap and an amazing brand!

 Which is your favourite? X

Bronzing Babes.

• So now we're getting into the sunnier times (hopefully) and putting on some fake tan to make us look a bit more sun-friendly and pretending we have somewhere to go, we need to match our pale faces to our bodies, so as some people are pretty heavy handed when it come to bronzing and contouring the face I thought I'd pick some easy (mostly cheap) bronzers for helping you to get your holiday/summer glow!

 • Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer: This came out last year and they're was quite a bit of word about it because it 'smelled like chocolate' and has lovely packaging. Unfortunately this only comes in two shades 51&52. At first look it looks to be matte but there is a tiny hint of shimmer but hardly noticeable. I love using this all over the face and it's so easy to wear.

 • ELF Contour&Blush Duo: In St.Lucia I have done a review here on this but this or I definately for people who like a noticeable dark colour on their faces.

 • Topshop Highlighting Illuminator is a "gift" from my sister in which I just took it cause it looked pretty. This is quite sheer on but it's more of a highlighting bronzer, so I'd just use this on the top of my cheekbones and jawline, a nice touch of colour and perfect for highlighting your cheekbones!

   • Benefits Hoola Bronzer mini: My absolute favourite. This is a matte light brown and it's so pigmented. I'm really glad I got the mini of this to test out so I can maybe save up for the big one, who knows?! But seriously for fair skinned people this is an easy step to start contouring, I love this for contouring and it  makes it so much easier.

What's your staple piece for bronzing/contouring? X

Small Haul // Skincare bits.

• If you remember me posting my skincare wishlist here then you'll know what I was looking to get and with the money I had left I FINALLY got 3 new skincare bits and I am so happy, good skin makes me happy, ok?

 • So I ordered 2 online last week and they both came yesterday so I was really excited!! I'm not going to review them as I haven't had them long enough but I'll keep you updated! The one thing I did actually go out to buy was the 'La Roche-Posay Toleraine' moisturiser. And for extra brownie points if you remember that I wanted the Toleraine Riche one so I picked up just Toleraine instead. I've been using this already an have seen a difference in how my makeup even stays on my face it doesn't cling to dry patches so it must be doing something right!

  • So as I was browsing Pai's website I thought 'just get it' and I did. I got the 'Pai Rosehip Oil' because of Gh0stparties recommendation. It has the strangest smell but goes away after applying and it's such a cool colour, it makes my skincare basket more colourful!

  • Last thing I bought was REN Clarifying Toner because  I've never used a toner *don't kill me* and EVERYONE goes on about this and if you buy something of the REN website you get two mini samples free! What's not to like?! The two samples I got was the Daily Moisturiser an the Pore Detox Mask which I'm really excited to use!

As you can tell I'm so excited to use these and hopefully they'll help me skin so then I can do a skincare routine soon, maybe. Who'd like to see? X

Spring Edit // Light Make-Up

•  Springing into a new month tomorrow April will hopefully bring sunshine because all us Irish girls need it! I love the Spring/Summer time and when it comes to make-up you really want a wash of colour and minimal makeup.

Base: For the base you want a nice, dewy foundation that still gives you a flawless face, usually when I think about Spring you usually look at BB and now CC creams but one brand that really is amazing for foundations is Bourjois. I've re-purchased Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in 51 which is amazing! My favourite light coverage foundation. Bourjois brought out a new 123 Perfect CC Cream in 31 which every YouTuber and Blogger has raved about and I'm no different, it gives decent coverage and looks like you've nothing on but the only downside is the shades but mix it with some other foundation and it'll be perfect!! The concealer I've chosen is 17 Stay Time 18 hour concealer which isn't as much coverage as collections but  their lightest shade "extra fair" is brilliant for pale people.

Cheeks: It's all about the pop of colour in Spring. Of course I have Topshop cream blush in "head over heels" which is my absolute favourite because it isn't a pink! Nars blush in "Orgasm" which is a lovely pinky colour with shimmer really nice on the cheeks. For an all over bronzer I use the Topshop Bronzer in "Illuminator" which has 3 different shades in it, a highlight, a light brown and a darker one for bronzer. Benefit Hoola Bronzer mini is what I use to contour and I've been loving it lately!!

My favourite highlighter is MUA Undress Me highlighter which is really shimmery but I really like it plus it's cheap

EYES: For simple eyes I swipe 17 Metallic Eye in "Wild Bronze" which is really nice gold colour with my blue eyes, on top I use MAC in "All that glitters" on top which is a sheeny gold shadow. I also really like to use Wet'n'Wild "walking on eggshells" palette which has a highlighter, crease and eyelid colour and they're sooo pigmented!

LIPS: It'll be no surprise that my favourite lipstick is ....*drumroll please* Wet'n'Wild in 'Coral-line'  THE perfect orange/red, my second favourite is MAC in 'Lickable' as it's a lovely pop of colour which is a blue toned pink and really creamy!!

• What's your favourite thing about Spring? X

March Favourites.

• Well we're nearly into April now, I don't know about you but these 3 months have flown by but when it comes to the end of the month there's only one thing to blog about, yes it's March favourites time!!

• So jumping straight in I've found some really good products and rediscovered one thing from my own stash!

BLEACH Silver Shampoo: I picked this up in January for £5 mainly because I've heard a lot about Bleach London products and their colour dye is like a rainbow they've that many colour *pink rose I'm looking at you*. As I've blonde hair I always use a purple shampoo because it's better at keeping the blonde nice and ashy instead of yellow-y looking!

 • AVENE Spring Water: I picked up this on a whim because everyone ha gone on about La Roche-Posay Seronzic spray and Caudalie's one, it's really just water in a can but I really love it as sad a it sounds. I use it after makeup to set it and spray it through the day if my skin is feeling tight or dead looking. Handy to have in the Summer too!

H&M Jewellery: The last time I was in H&M and I got a tad excited. I really have a lot of rings but of course I "had" to get these ones which come in all different widths and there's one with a different design. I wanted a simple necklace I could wear everyday over tshirts so I got this little gold one that has a triangle on it and I really like triangles in jewellery.

Wet'n'Wild: Mainly it's their lipsticks I've been obsessing over. These two are my favourites the neutral-purple is in the shade 'Mauve Outta Here' and the orangey red which you've seen before is called 'Coral-Line' these are amazing  if you haven't tried any you have to and at only €2.99 it's a bargain!

  • MUA Brow kit: I've written a blog post here on this product so I won't go Ito detail but I use this ALL the time now for my brows and love it!

  • MAC gel eyeliner: This has been my rediscovery product. I got this at Christmas and was like 'oh I'll never use that' so I put it away but recently playing around with it I began lining my top lash line and doing a flick with it and it's sooooo easy! I'm really in love with this! It's a dark brown shade in 'Past Twilight'.

I hoped you like some of the products here, what's your March favourites? X

Wishlist #1 // Skincare

• Apart from makeup my next favourite is skincare, I am always on the lookout for something to save my skin or make it look better. I'd rather spend my money on skincare other than makeup just because if you have a good base then you won't need as much makeup and it'd look better on a fresh face. So this is my first Wishlist of all the skincare things I'm listing over!

  • First up a product I've been wanting to get for so long because Queen on skincare Caroline Hirons has raved about it on her blog. If you haven't read her blog seriously do, she's amazing! The product is REN's clarifying toner and I've never used a proper toner *don't kill me* but I really want to have this and at £12 + £3 for P+P this is definately my next purchase!

 • Body Shop has launched a new Vitamin E range and the two that have been highly talked about is the face mist which can act as a hydrating toner and the overnight serum which is meant to keep your skin hydrated.

 • Pai skincare isn't a brand I've tried before but I read a blogpost from lovely Kate's blog and she said that the Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil is pretty much a miracle worker, it helps get rid of stubborn spots and scars. I'm sold, I want it!

 •  On Escentual for the whole of this month they've had a huge sale on all french skincare brands that include La Roche-Posay, Nuxe, Vichy, Avene and others the two that I really wanted to try was La roche-posay toleraine riche moisturiser after hearing good reviews from Amelia Liana I really want to try it as I've got quite dry skin. The other thing which is a lip balm from Nuxe called 'Reve de Miel' and this was raved about from Essie Button and I just really like lip balms and such.

 • Have you any of these on your wishlist? Or is there anything new that you like? X
