Spring Edit // Light Make-Up

•  Springing into a new month tomorrow April will hopefully bring sunshine because all us Irish girls need it! I love the Spring/Summer time and when it comes to make-up you really want a wash of colour and minimal makeup.

Base: For the base you want a nice, dewy foundation that still gives you a flawless face, usually when I think about Spring you usually look at BB and now CC creams but one brand that really is amazing for foundations is Bourjois. I've re-purchased Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in 51 which is amazing! My favourite light coverage foundation. Bourjois brought out a new 123 Perfect CC Cream in 31 which every YouTuber and Blogger has raved about and I'm no different, it gives decent coverage and looks like you've nothing on but the only downside is the shades but mix it with some other foundation and it'll be perfect!! The concealer I've chosen is 17 Stay Time 18 hour concealer which isn't as much coverage as collections but  their lightest shade "extra fair" is brilliant for pale people.

Cheeks: It's all about the pop of colour in Spring. Of course I have Topshop cream blush in "head over heels" which is my absolute favourite because it isn't a pink! Nars blush in "Orgasm" which is a lovely pinky colour with shimmer really nice on the cheeks. For an all over bronzer I use the Topshop Bronzer in "Illuminator" which has 3 different shades in it, a highlight, a light brown and a darker one for bronzer. Benefit Hoola Bronzer mini is what I use to contour and I've been loving it lately!!

My favourite highlighter is MUA Undress Me highlighter which is really shimmery but I really like it plus it's cheap

EYES: For simple eyes I swipe 17 Metallic Eye in "Wild Bronze" which is really nice gold colour with my blue eyes, on top I use MAC in "All that glitters" on top which is a sheeny gold shadow. I also really like to use Wet'n'Wild "walking on eggshells" palette which has a highlighter, crease and eyelid colour and they're sooo pigmented!

LIPS: It'll be no surprise that my favourite lipstick is ....*drumroll please* Wet'n'Wild in 'Coral-line'  THE perfect orange/red, my second favourite is MAC in 'Lickable' as it's a lovely pop of colour which is a blue toned pink and really creamy!!

March Favourites.

• Well we're nearly into April now, I don't know about you but these 3 months have flown by but when it comes to the end of the month there's only one thing to blog about, yes it's March favourites time!!

• So jumping straight in I've found some really good products and rediscovered one thing from my own stash!

BLEACH Silver Shampoo: I picked this up in January for £5 mainly because I've heard a lot about Bleach London products and their colour dye is like a rainbow they've that many colour *pink rose I'm looking at you*. As I've blonde hair I always use a purple shampoo because it's better at keeping the blonde nice and ashy instead of yellow-y looking!

 • AVENE Spring Water: I picked up this on a whim because everyone ha gone on about La Roche-Posay Seronzic spray and Caudalie's one, it's really just water in a can but I really love it as sad a it sounds. I use it after makeup to set it and spray it through the day if my skin is feeling tight or dead looking. Handy to have in the Summer too!

H&M Jewellery: The last time I was in H&M and I got a tad excited. I really have a lot of rings but of course I "had" to get these ones which come in all different widths and there's one with a different design. I wanted a simple necklace I could wear everyday over tshirts so I got this little gold one that has a triangle on it and I really like triangles in jewellery.

Wet'n'Wild: Mainly it's their lipsticks I've been obsessing over. These two are my favourites the neutral-purple is in the shade 'Mauve Outta Here' and the orangey red which you've seen before is called 'Coral-Line' these are amazing  if you haven't tried any you have to and at only €2.99 it's a bargain!

  • MUA Brow kit: I've written a blog post here on this product so I won't go Ito detail but I use this ALL the time now for my brows and love it!

  • MAC gel eyeliner: This has been my rediscovery product. I got this at Christmas and was like 'oh I'll never use that' so I put it away but recently playing around with it I began lining my top lash line and doing a flick with it and it's sooooo easy! I'm really in love with this! It's a dark brown shade in 'Past Twilight'.

I hoped you like some of the products here, what's your March favourites? X

Wishlist #1 // Skincare

• Apart from makeup my next favourite is skincare, I am always on the lookout for something to save my skin or make it look better. I'd rather spend my money on skincare other than makeup just because if you have a good base then you won't need as much makeup and it'd look better on a fresh face. So this is my first Wishlist of all the skincare things I'm listing over!

  • First up a product I've been wanting to get for so long because Queen on skincare Caroline Hirons has raved about it on her blog. If you haven't read her blog seriously do, she's amazing! The product is REN's clarifying toner and I've never used a proper toner *don't kill me* but I really want to have this and at £12 + £3 for P+P this is definately my next purchase!

 • Body Shop has launched a new Vitamin E range and the two that have been highly talked about is the face mist which can act as a hydrating toner and the overnight serum which is meant to keep your skin hydrated.

 • Pai skincare isn't a brand I've tried before but I read a blogpost from lovely Kate's blog and she said that the Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil is pretty much a miracle worker, it helps get rid of stubborn spots and scars. I'm sold, I want it!

 •  On Escentual for the whole of this month they've had a huge sale on all french skincare brands that include La Roche-Posay, Nuxe, Vichy, Avene and others the two that I really wanted to try was La roche-posay toleraine riche moisturiser after hearing good reviews from Amelia Liana I really want to try it as I've got quite dry skin. The other thing which is a lip balm from Nuxe called 'Reve de Miel' and this was raved about from Essie Button and I just really like lip balms and such.

 • Have you any of these on your wishlist? Or is there anything new that you like? X

Top 3 // Best Facemasks

• Now I think nearly everyone would have some sort of face mask in their skincare regime which they take out once in a blue moon or even once a week, but I'm now going to show you my favourites to help keep your skin clear and fresh.

• First up I have 2/3 Origin masks that I got for Christmas in this post because I am in love. There always raved about on Youtube and the blogsphere so I'll start with the Clear Improvement mask which is a thick grey substance (it can get messy) but this is perfect for getting a really deep cleanse on your face, really good for spot prone skin I think and I like to use this once a week for a good renewal of the skin.

 • The next Origin mask I have is the Drink Up 10minute mask. This is like the little sister of the Drink Up intensive mask, I also have that one but I definately prefer this one as it leaves your skin soooo soft after using it. I always use it after using the Clear Improvement one as that can dry the skin so to refresh it I use a moisturising mask. This is just white with little smell and I adore it.

  • The last one is a budget buy from Una Brennan, I'm pretty sure everyone who watches YouTube and reads blogs have heard of this. It's the Superfacialist Tea Flower Deep Clean mask which is really similar to the Clear Improvements one from Origins, though it is a lighter coverage so not as heavy on the skin. It's also on offer in Boots for £5.99 so grab one quick!!
I use this more than the Origin one just because it's easier to get off and does the exact same job and it's easy to find it Debenhams.

   • have you tried any of these? Which is your favourite? X

Gift Guide Under €40 // Mothers Day

• Today's gift guide is for more of a budget gift for Mothers Day. Today's gifts are all under €40 so I hope you find these gift guides useful.

 • The Bookworm Mums: For anyone who's Mum is an avid reader just get her a book, plain & simple. Easons is your friend for this and the book in the picture above is by Gillian Flynn called Gone Girl and this is on the top ten list so it must be good. Another book that I think a lot of Irish mothers would like is called Philomena by Martin Sixsmith is about an Irish woman who tells her story of how the church took her baby from her, she was on the Late late Show a while back.

 • For Makeup Mad Mums: Definately a nice high end purchase, even if it's one thing. Estée Lauder and YSL have lovely gold packaging which makes it look more elegant, of course there's good old MAC to choose from, but whatever your mums favourite makeup brand is pick just one thing. Look at Debenhams.

DIY Budget: If your on a budget you could do a DIY Photo Album and fill them with your favourite memories or you could pick a nice frame and fill it with pictures.

  • Simple Picks: Definately if you've no idea what to get just pick something simple whether it be a pair pyjamas (from M&S or Next maybe) some of her favourite flowers or some chocolates.

   • I hope you've found these two guides helpful, thanks for reading! X

  • First a higher brand of perfume/candles Jo Malone is the one to go for especially if your Mum likes candles/perfume. They come in a whole lot of scents and the packaging look so elegant! Candles are€50 and Jo Malone perfume 30ml is €48.

• If your Mum is like mine and into her handbags a really special gift is the Michael Kors Jet Set Top Zip Saffiano tote bag which is €250 all of the above products are from Brown Thomas.

 • Another Michael Kors product is their Slim Watch which is really beautiful and not too expensive if you're willing to split the price with someone for €173.43

 • Now the big one is a cute iPad mini, I'd love to get this for my Mum as she's forever online but we'll see, this is €300 and up.

•One for skincare/makeup Mothers is the Estée Lauder Even Skintone Set which is €62 and includes face illuminator, eye cream, cleanser and day cream SPF and there's also an Anti-Wrinkle Set which is  €55 for the older mums.

Lips // Top 3 Spring Lip Colours

• I always love wearing something on my lips to add some life to your face. So for Spring I thought of 3 shades that I am loving right now which are all from boots/Dunnes so there easy to get your hands on.

 • On the trend of bright oranges for Spring I picked this easy to wear orange from Wet'n'Wild in the shade 'Cora-line'. I am really pale so the orangey-reds suit me best, this is more so a red but this is my new favourite. Long lasting and really cheap you can get it at Dunnes for €2.99! A nice pop of colour!

• Next a lilac shade from Collection and it's from the Little Mix range and it's Perrie's colour. I absolutely love this because not many people would wear it but I love it. It's a muted purple so not as crazy looking. It goes on so creamy and has a great lasting colour for the price. I  got this in Superdrug for only £2.99, bargain!

• A neutral colour this time is the Revlon colourboost lipgloss in Peony. I only got this really because the YouTuber velvetgh0st raves about it. It's a pale pink/nude with a lot of shimmer. I'm not really a one for lipgloss but I actually really like it over a nude lipstick. This is £7.99 from Superdrug/Boots.

• Which of the three is your favourite? X

Small Haul // March

• So I went shopping yesterday go some clothes but that didn't happen so instead accessories happened, let's look!

 • I don't know why but when I was in Penneys (or Primark as you English call it) there was a couple of things that caught my eye and it was a unintentional black and gold theme.

• First up I wanted a pair of new flats and I like plain black with ha gold piece on the front and these were only €11 so I picked them up.

 • My next Penneys buy was a new bag, I really wanted a black one and I love this one because it's all black but there's a nice quilted design on the side and I like the shirt handles because them shoulder bags get on my nerves! This was also €11.

 • The rest of my purchases were all small ones, the last thing from Penneys was this plain, little black purse with gold a gold zip. This was €6.

 • Then on an odd trip I went to TK Maxx (TJ Maxx for all you English people) and when I was looking in the beauty section I found A BUTTER LONDON polish.I cannot contain my excitement to use it, there wasn't a great colour range so I picked up this burgundy colour in 'Saucy Jack' for only €6.99, what a bargain and it retails for €18.99, wow! I've never owned one so I'll let you know what it's like!

    • Also in TKMaxx I picked up this cute Ciate set which has a pale pink nail varnish and coloured bead in the other. I got this for €7.99, very happy girl.

  • And lastly it couldn't be a 'haul' without a piece of makeup so in Dunnes I picked up another Wet'n'Wild lipstick in shade 'Coral-line' which is a orangey-red for €2.99!

 thanks for reading! X

Review // MUA Pro Brow Kit

  • Hello my lovely readers, this is my third time writing this as my laptop died so I'm sorry it took a while!

  • Anyway while I ventured into Superdrug and took a look at the MUA stand I spotted  this little beauty for less than a fiver, like wow.

  • So of course for as little as that I had to pick it up and here's my thoughts on this brow product.

  • So, I'm always wanting a good, old strong brow I usually have a pencil to shade in but this time I opted for a powder/wax combo which I've never tried before. This little thing is so compact, it has a huuge mirror, a mini pair of tweezers & an angled brush then the powders and wax. FOR A FIVER, may I remind you. Top marks for MUA!

  • So with a spoolee I brush my brows then with the 2nd colour on the top right corner of the palette I get an angled brush and fill in my brush then with the same brush I dip it in the wax and go around my brow with it, just going round the edges, then done. It's colour shade if perfect for me as I'm a dark-blonde girl but for people with dark black hair, this palette isn't going to suit you, sorrry.

  • I am in love with this little guy and prefer it over my pencil ones any day. It just takes a bit more time than the with an eye pencil. I'd definately recommend this If you're just starting of with makeup or you're looking in to wax's and you're too scared to fork out on Benefits BrowZings or Anatasia's Dip-Brow, get this first to see you like the powder/wax concept.

  • I'm in love with some products from MUA, what's your favourite? X

What's In My Makeup Bag // take a look

Hello, I always love looking at other peoples makeup bags to see what everyone is loving so I thought I'd do my own.

•This bag is one of MAC's Christmas collection, it's just plain black and white which I quite like, this is where my everyday makeup is kept.

•BASE: For my face I use Benefits mini porefessional first which helps eliminate noticeable pores and evens out skin tone. Then I'll use L'oreal true match foundation in N1, this is quite runny so be quick with it, really lovely finish and good coverage. Onto concealer I mix it up daily between Revlon colour stay in fair and Collection lasting perfection in 1. Both are really good but the lightest shade in both is still too dark for me.

•CHEEKS:  I'll then use my new blush/bronzer duo in St.Lucia from Elf, on a day to day basis I just use the blusher to give me a wash of colour.

•BROWS: This is my favourite, I love brows. Mine are quite thick and unruly so I usually give them a quick brush with a spoolee then go in with the MUA pro-brow kit, this is AMAZING for the price. There's 3 colours, a clear wax and a big mirror. Very compact, I'll be doing a review soon.

• EYES: To keep my eyeshadow on I use my MAC paint pot in "painterly" everyday either with or without something on top, but if I'm feeling adventurous I'll use my Wet 'n' Wild " walking on eggshells" palette which is so beautiful, the pigmentation is great and I love the brow highlight! And the Max Factors Wild Mega Volume mascara in brown for an everyday colour so you don't look dead. Hope you liked this post!

•Have any of you tried any of these products? Tell me your favourites :)
